“The participation of Cyprus in the Revolution of 1821 and the course of the Cypriot Hellenism since then”

The Historical Archive – Museum of Hydra hosts the Commemoration event for Cyprus, on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 8.30 pm, with the theme The participation of Cyprus in the Revolution of 1821 and the course of the Cypriot Hellenism since then.

The event will be honored by the presence of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth of Cyprus Mr. Prodromos Prodromou, who will speak about unknown aspects of the participation of Cyprus in the Revolution of 1821.

The well-known sketch artist Stathis Stavropoulos’s speech will address the course of Cypriot Hellenism since then, and Eleni Kriezi, a descendant of the homonymous historical family, will also speak.

His Eminence the Metropolitan of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina Mr. Ephraim, the Mayor of Hydra George Koukoudakis and the Director of the Historical Archive of the Museum of Hydra Konstantina Adamopoulou will address greetings.

The event will be presented by the poet Andrea Dimitriou, who will also recite poems by Cypriot poets.
