Applications are accepted for the filling of one (1) vacancy of a full-time Specialist Scientist (140 hours/month), with funding from the Research Program DL-MechanoPredictor (European Research Council, Coordinator: Dr. Triantafyllos Stylianopoulos).

The successful candidate will participate in the research, clinical and administrative activities (University of Cyprus and Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center) under the responsibility of Dr. Konstantinidou and in collaboration with the members of the research team of the program, and other health professionals.

Qualifications:

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing or Master’s degree (MSc or PhD) in life sciences or Biomedical Sciences.
Excellent knowledge of Greek and English.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To contribute to the smooth conduct of the research work of the project in coordination with other members of the research team and health professionals.
Process and store biological samples in accordance with applicable protocols.
Operate and maintain equipment and laboratory instruments.
Analyze, manage and share data, ensuring the validity and reliability of the data.
Collect clinical data and maintain organized and accurate records of clinical and / or experimental data.
To support the preparation and submission of research papers and results.
Develop protocols, techniques and procedures for the current project or other related projects.
Undertake appropriate administrative tasks as required.
Perform any other tasks required during the project.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

The duration of employment will be for the period March 2023-February 2024 with the possibility of renewal. The monthly gross earnings amount to €1700 – €2400 depending on the qualifications/experience of the candidate. From this amount will be cut off the contributions of an employee to the various state funds and any income tax.  No 13th salary is paid.
