Position: Specialized Teaching Staff

Vacancies: Two (2 ) 

CATEGORY: Under a part-time contract for the Winter Semester 2026–2027 (September 2026 – December 2026), with the option of renewal for two additional semesters.

VENUE: University of Cyprus, Sports Centre, Nicosia

The Sports Center is accepting applications to fill two (2) positions for Specialists to teach the following elective sports courses, which may be offered based on the needs of the University of Cyprus:

1. Aerobics
2. Judo

These courses are open to all students at the University of Cyprus. Courses will be offered based on the needs of the University of Cyprus and the number of interested students. Each Teaching Specialist selected may be employed for one to three semesters (not necessarily consecutively or within the 2026–2027 academic year) under separate contracts, depending on their performance and the courses offered.

Filling of positions is subject to the availability of funding.

Please note that applicants are not required to be Cypriot citizens. However, they must be residing in Cyprus on a permanent basis during their period of employment and are asked to ensure that this will be possible before submitting their application. Submission of the application constitutes acceptance of the above provision.

Interested candidates are requested to submit one copy of the following:

1. A letter of interest for the position in question.
2. A complete resume.
3. Copies of academic credentials.
4. Two letters of recommendation.

The selected candidate will be required to submit certified copies of academic credentials from the Ministry of Education (for degrees from private schools/universities in Cyprus) or from the issuing authority (for universities abroad).
