It was the wish of the famous lied singer Alexandra Trianti-Kiriakidis (1901-1977) to give young talented Greek artists the opportunity to perfect their studies in major music academies abroad through her bequest to the The Friends of Music Society. Thus, from 1994 to date, 85 musicians have been honoured with the Trianti Scholarship, among them Myrto Papathanasiou, Dimitris Platanias, Dimitris Desyllas, Christina Poulitsis, etc.

This year, the Board of Directors of the Friends of Music Society, which is managed by the Alexandra Trianti-Kyriacidis Estate, announces two scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025 for the perfection of Master’s level studies at a recognized School of Music abroad, in the specialties Oboe and French Horn.

The notice is addressed to Greek soloists, aged up to 30 years old, who have a certificate of acceptance from the School for their studies and the application deadline is May 16th.
