The National Library of Greece (NLG) and the General State Archives (GSA), on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Exodus of Missolonghi, are co-organizing the exhibition “In the Glorious Threshing Floor. Missolonghi 1826, Exodus” in the atrium on the 4th floor of the NLG, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
As part of the exhibition, guided tours for the general public and organizations continue. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the exhibition to learn about the historical context of the period, with a focus on rare artifacts being displayed to the public for the first time.
In conjunction with the anniversary exhibition, the workshop for adults “Newspaper… with a Bow Tie!” is being held. The workshop highlights the importance of historical newspapers as valuable sources that convey the spirit of the era and explores the process of archival preservation, with a focus on the handwritten newspaper “Aitoliki.”
