The Embassy of Uruguay in Greece is pleased to inform about the Petrona Program: Promoting the internationalization of Uruguayan visual arts.

This program, named after the Uruguayan painter Petrona Viera (1865-1960), is an initiative of the National Directorate of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay.

This is a call intended to support both Uruguayan art galleries, for participation in international fairs, and foreign galleries that hold exhibitions of Uruguayan artists in their rooms.

The Petrona Program will allocate up to approximately US$5,000 for each project, which must be carried out during 2024.

Foreign art galleries duly established in their countries, Uruguayan artists who already have current exhibition contracts with foreign galleries and national galleries established in Uruguay may participate.
