The celebration of the 57th Anniversary of the establishment of the University of Patras will take place on Sunday, 28 November 2021 at 18.30 in the “Odysseas Elytis” Ceremony Hall. This anniversary has a special significance for the University, as a double celebration of the establishment of the University and the patron saint of the city of Patras, Apostle Andrew. The University of Patras celebrates 57 years of contribution to the sciences, to education, to research and to culture. The programme of this year’s celebration will begin with an Address by Mr Dimosthenis Anagnostopoulos, Secretary General at GSIS, and Professor Christos Bouras, Rector of the University of Patras. The keynote speaker will be Mr. Christos A. Boulias, lawyer, author and President of the Historical and Ethnological Society of the Peloponnese, who will speak about “Achaia in the Struggle for National Liberty”. The event will be completed with a musical epilogue by “Evikoon Melos”. It should be noted that participants will have the opportunity to admire rare relics of the Historical and Ethnological Society of the Peloponnese which will be exhibited in the entrance area to the Ceremony Hall.
