The Municipality of Agia, in cooperation with the Region of Thessaly and with the support of cultural and professional associations, in celebration of the World Tourism Day, organizes on Sunday 25 September 2022, “Coastal Cycling”. The 10 km route, for families and not only, will start at the port of Agiokampos, starting at 10:00am, and finish at Platania Velika. It is an opportunity to escape, discover and get to know the beauties of our land.

This year, the celebration of World Tourism Day is taking place in the context of the actions of the “Volunteering Cities+” Good Practice Transfer Network of the URBACT III European Programme.

From 09:30am the registration of participants will take place at the starting point (Port of Agiokampos) and bicycles will be available for those interested.

In this year’s bike ride, the participants will follow “the way of the olive tree” as at the finish (Platanias Velika) various olive preparations will be offered by the Cultural Association of Velika “The Philoctetes” and the Exotic Association of Velika “Melivoya”. Gifts and participation souvenirs will be given by the Municipality of Agia and the Region of Thessaly.
