The MSc is implemented in a blended learning environment and with standard combined forms of education. Distance learning may account for up to 70% of the total teaching program.
Aim of the MSc
- Education, scientific training, and specialization through theoretical teaching and practical exercises/applications, with particular emphasis on topics related to interdisciplinary study and integrated management of the coastal environment.
- The promotion of basic and applied research on the marine/coastal environment and sustainable development.
- Dissemination of specialized scientific knowledge to public/private bodies and enterprises, social groups, and organizations involved in the sustainable development/management of coastal areas.
- Scientific training of high-level executives in the integrated management of the coastal zone.
The MSc is addressed to:
- Young scientists who are graduates of Universities, of higher military education institutions and the Hellenic Police Officers School, the Hellenic Fire Academy as well as people working in the Hellenic Coast Guard,
- Executives from public/private services, agencies, and businesses,
- Employees of research centers and organizations
who wish to acquire interdisciplinary expertise, at a theoretical and practical level, in the integrated management of coastal areas with emphasis on their sustainable development.
