Description
The Departments of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences (AUTH), Geology of the School of Science (AUTH), Medicine of the School of Health Sciences (DUTH), and Environmental Engineering (IHU) will announce fifty (50) positions for postgraduate students for the academic year 2025-2026 in the “Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program of Studies” (IPPS):
“HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS”
The program duration is two semesters of attendance and one semester for the completion of a master’s thesis. Successful fulfillment of the related obligations leads to the award of a Master’s Degree (MSc). Attendance of courses, seminars, and other program activities is mandatory.
Admission Categories
The Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program of Studies (IPPS) admits graduates of the Departments of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Nursing, Medical Laboratories, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Polytechnic Schools and TEI, Economics and Management Sciences, Informatics, Psychology, Social and Humanitarian Studies, Physical Education Sciences, Nutrition, Aesthetics-Cosmetology, and other Departments of Greek Universities and TEI, as well as recognized equivalent institutions abroad, including graduates of Military Schools in related fields. Graduates of other Departments or Higher Education Schools may also be accepted upon decision of the Special Interinstitutional Committee (EDE). Candidates may also be final-year students who will have successfully completed their undergraduate studies before the registration deadline and meet the requirements.
Number of admissions
The annual number of admissions to the IPPS is set at fifty (50).
Applications
Candidates are invited to submit their documents to the Secretariat of the IPPS from June 1 to September 20, 2025, electronically at the following address: [email protected].
For the application of interest, the following documents are required:
a) Application (available on the website https://www.med.auth.gr/article/dpms-ygeia-kai-perivallontikoi-paragontes, https://www.med.auth.gr -> POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENTS, and on the Postgraduate Program website https://websites.auth.gr/medhef/)
b) Copy of diploma(s) from a Greek university or TEI of a related department and a certificate of equivalence from DOATAP, in case of graduates from foreign universities.
c) Academic transcript with detailed grades of all undergraduate courses, including the degree grade.
d) Curriculum vitae detailing studies, teaching and/or professional experience, scientific and social activity.
e) Statement describing the candidate’s scientific interests and reasons for undertaking studies in the Postgraduate Program.
f) Certificate of “good” knowledge of English as standardized by ASEP announcements. A certificate for a second foreign language, if known, must also be submitted. For Slavic languages, a certificate from IMXA or a recognized institution is required. Foreign nationals must submit a Greek language proficiency certificate from a Modern Greek Language School of a University. Graduates of Greek-speaking university departments have their degree serving as the Greek language proficiency certificate.
g) Proof of any research and writing activity, participation in educational mobility programs, as well as professional experience related to the specialization field.
h) Photocopy of the police identity card.

If the number of applications is not met, the application period will be extended.
Tuition and Fees
The overall tuition fee amounts to 2,700 euros (total tuition). The payment is made in three (3) installments. Payment of the first installment (€900) is a prerequisite for registration in the 1st semester, and payment of the second and third installments (€900 each) is a prerequisite for registration in the 2nd and 3rd semesters, respectively.
