Delirium Athens presents “Hide & Seek”, a solo exhibition by Socrates Sandman Sapounas.

Hide & Seek is a surreal tragedy, which lyrically opposes ignorance, hatred, violence and racism. A graphic novel based on a true story of my family that took place during World War II and is symbolically set in Auschwitz.

A unique and personal experience which floats between ancient Greek tragedy and contemporary art and comics, Hide and Seek goes through the stages of grief in an attempt to rekindle the flame of historic memory and the human spirit.

In celebration of the dreamlike and cinematic style of the graphic novel, Metamorphosis: Hide & Seek will be presented as a physical exhibition at Delirium.athens urban art gallery in the heart of Athens!

A selection of original paintings, comic-book pages, masks, installations, and mixed media pieces will flesh out the gothic and surreal world of Metamorphosis: Hide & Seek and invite the viewer on a unique subconscious journey.

The exhibition will also feature “Totem,” an installation by artist Voula Ferentinou and will be curated by The Krah.
