Roma Gallery invites all art lovers, from Tuesday 5 December 2023, to the exhibition of a unique limited collector’s edition entitled EVER GOYA, first presented at the Fondation Beyeler, Basel, Switzerland, in the context of the GOYA exhibition, which ran from 10 October 2021 to 23 January 2022.

21 renowned international contemporary artists honour Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (1746-1828) by participating in an iconic publishing project carried out by the Fondation Beyeler and the historic publishing house Cahiers d’Art, founded by Christian Zervos in 1926 in Paris.

Francisco Goya is considered the most important Spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th century. Goya was a painter who served the painting of his time, but also radically renewed it, to the extent that he is considered a precursor of modernity. In fact, both his writings and his works are pioneering and foreshadowed modern art as early as the late 18th century. Modern artists acknowledge that he continues to inspire them with his work, ideas and ‘myth’ even today. In this sense, the initiative to accompany the Basel exhibition with works by artists who continue to “look at him” two centuries after his death is important and has been well received.

The elegant, handmade, limited edition EVER GOYA brings together 21 works created in 2021 by the artists: Fernando Arrabal, Miquel Barceló, Beatriz González, Jenny Holzer, Cristina Iglesias, Anne Imhof, Alfredo Jaar, Koo Jeong A, Alexander Kluge, Robert Longo, Cildo Meireles, Precious Okoyomon, Philippe Parreno, Raymond Pettibon, Elena Del Rivero, Rachel Rose, Thomas Schütte, Santiago Sierra, Rosemarie Trockel, Luc Tuymans, Adrián Villar Rojas.

Opening Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00 – 20:00, Wednesday, Saturday 10:00 – 16:00
