With two imaginative and unconventional compositions, the concert year begins for the MUSICA choir of the Friends of Music Society: on Saturday, March 2, at 19.00, at the St. George’s Church in Neo Psychiko, the 100 voices (100!) of the choir ensemble, under the direction of its conductor Dimitris Bouzanis, will unite to present two contemporary works, written in the last 20 years. British composer Bob Chilcott’s “A Little Jazz Mass” was written in 2004 for the Crescent City Choral Festival in New Orleans, and American Dan Forrest’s “Requiem for the Living” was commissioned by the Hickory Choral Society of North Carolina in 2013.

The MUSICA choir, founded in 2013 by the Friends of Music Society, has around 100 members, both male and female, who were selected by audition. To date, it has presented its constantly enriching repertoire in dozens of concerts in Greece and abroad.
