In this exhibition, the Association presents documents as well as prints that reveal a small part of its course.

The Greek Printmakers’ Association welcomes the new art year with a second exhibition from its archive. From its foundation in 1987 until today, GPA has contributed significantly to the spreading of the art of printmaking in Greece and abroad. Since the beginning of 2021, the Association has begun recording and classifying its archive, which consists of posters, publications, catalogues, and of course prints. This process is aimed primarily at the digitization of the archive, in order for its value to be highlighted by making it available to the public.

In this exhibition, the Association presents documents as well as prints that reveal a small part of its course; from the first list of the founding members to printed material and works from important exhibitions or actions.

The establishment of GPA by Vassilis Haros has contributed greatly to the consolidation of printmaking in Greece. Through the Association’s actions, this form of art became widely known -and this was achieved for the first time systematically- with events in cultural spaces throughout Greece and abroad.
