After his books Ο Θεός στην πόλη [God in the city] (Estia Editions, 2002), Ποιος Θεός και ποιος άνθρωπος [Which God and which man] (Polis Editions, 2013), Χριστιανισμός της χαράς [Joyful Christianity] (Polis Editions, 2015) etc., Stavros Zoumboulakis in this book – through the religious hate motifs ― reminds us that the place where “rival” religions were born ― Judaism, Christianity, Islam ― was both in real and in symbolic terms a desolate desert. In each case of a “desolate Land” the histories of peoples and civilizations were submitted to the merciless power of the God of the chosen “others”, who should be constantly regretting his own creation the very next day.
