A corpus on the life and work of the preeminent representative of the so-called Christian humanism. More than anyone else, Erasmus highlighted the need to link the ancient, mainly Greek, spirit with the Bible and Christian piety. Throughout Europe, all his life he tried to prove that using the art of literature as a tool, it is possible to restore and annotate ancient Greek and Roman texts and the original biblical tradition.
