With an unprecedented festival in the country, the city of Patras welcomes the first-year students on 14, 15 and 16 October. Through the connection between the city and the university, students will have the opportunity to get in touch with the sights, antiquities, market and businesses of Patras.

This is a pioneering initiative of the University of Patras in co-organization with the Region of Western Attica and the Chamber of Achaia and with the assistance of the Municipality of Patras.

The Reception Festival not only brings students closer to the city but also brings Patriots closer to the University which will open its doors with free admission to participate in conferences and concerts, attend premieres, meet and chat with the academic community which is one of Patras’ strongest assets and one of its most promising prospects.

The three days of the festival will therefore include major musical events, film screenings in collaboration with the International Short Film Festival of Drama, an insightful research International Conference on the occasion of the 100 Years of the Asia Minor Catastrophe and meetings with the “smart minds” of the University. At the same time, students “taste” the city with activities such as “Taste the city”.
