On Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, for the fourth consecutive year, the Athens Alzheimer’s Association, in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), is organizing the Alzheimer’s Festival 2026. From 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the SNFCC Lighthouse and with free admission for everyone, the festival takes place as part of World Alzheimer’s Month and is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health.
The Alzheimer’s Festival 2026 aims to highlight current developments regarding Alzheimer’s disease, the importance of prevention and early diagnosis, new therapeutic approaches, as well as the role of technology in non-pharmacological interventions and the day-to-day support of patients and their families.
The central message of this year’s event is: “Innovation in the Prevention and Management of Dementia.”
The main topics of discussion will focus on personalized and tailored prevention, the importance of early diagnosis, new etiological treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, the contribution of Artificial Intelligence and new technologies in the context of non-pharmacological therapies, and, of course, the support of the rights of patients and caregivers in Greece.
The festival will feature:

free memory tests for people over 60 using innovative digital tools and specialized software

demonstrations of rehabilitation techniques and effective communication with people suffering from dementia, led by specialized neuroscientists

presentations of innovative applications and assistive technologies
Organizations and groups dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease from all over Greece will also be participating in the 2026 Alzheimer Festival, joining forces with the Athens Alzheimer’s Association in this major public campaign to raise awareness and support for people with dementia in Greece.
