The countless war fronts around the world make us wonder if a third world war has broken out. Where is humanity going? Where has the obvious need for peace between people gone? Why is diplomacy failing to put an end to the “arms conferences”? Where has our civilization gone when every day so many people, so many children are so unjustly lost? Once upon a time, the Impressionists, a generation of highly romantic artists, did everything they could to prevent World War I. The impressionist movement of the time did not succeed. Besides, the diplomacy of the time did not know or did not want to exploit it. Could it be that today, after 110 years, the last romantic artistic style that has remained alive and well in the souls of the creators could effectively contribute to a more targeted and humane diplomacy, one that does not have as its first goal ambivalent interests, but a bright future for humanity full of beautiful emotions and goodness?

With art and photography exhibitions, theatre, dance and music performances, street shows, lectures, discussions, painting in public spaces, sports, games and alternative activities for children and adults, “Petit Paris d’Athenes 2024” will be a ten-day celebration of peace, love, art and culture in the centre of Athens, with the participation, as every year, of more than 500 artists, creators and people of spirit, in many selected locations (theatres, music stages, galleries, squares, pedestrian squares, conservatories, schools, neoclassical-historical buildings, hotels and other alternative spaces) from Omonia Square to Vathi Square, Metaxourgeio, Agios Pavlos and Larissa Station, where many streets have French names and have for years been meeting points for Athenian urban culture, Greek folk tradition, immigrants, travellers and visitors.

As every year, the festival offices will be hosted at the Wyndham Grand Athens Hotel, courtesy of Wyndham and Zeus international.
