In one week, Patmos will host the 15th Aegean Film Festival! From July 16 to 24, 2026, the festival will feature prominent independent filmmakers, international premieres, and a diverse program of screenings and side events.

Audiences will have the opportunity to watch fiction films, documentaries, short films, and virtual reality films, as well as participate in discussions, art exhibitions, and special events taking place across the island.

The opening ceremony of the 15th Aegean Film Festival will take place on Friday, July 17, at 8:30 p.m. at the “Marianna,” featuring the Greek premiere of the Italian film Tennis Maestro, directed by Andrea Di Stefano.

The international jury for the competition program of the 15th Festival consists of three prominent figures in European cinema: Ada Solomon, President of the European Film Academy; Christian Jeune, Director of the Film Department and Deputy General Director of the Cannes Film Festival; and the award-winning Greek-German producer Thanasis Karathanos.
