In July 2020, Prospect magazine included Serbian-American scholar Branko Milanovic among the top 50 thinkers for 2020, and the American magazine Foreign Affairs included his book Capitalism, Alone in the best books of 2020. Out of the many competing types of capitalism, the author focuses on two variants: the liberal meritocratic capitalism (USA) and the political (autocratic) capitalism (China), examining the future of our world.
