If one were to compare current photographs of Santorini and the ones in black and white by Robert Mc Cabe who visited and depicted the island in the early 1950s, the phrase “another era” would be really telling. Santorini of “yesterday” has images that look dreamy and stories that sound like fairy tales. With captions by archaeologist Lefteris Zorzos, texts on the geology of the island by Evi Noikou and the nostalgia of personal experience by Margarita Pournara, a journalist from Santorini, based on the narrations of her grandmother.
