The Marginalia Gallery presents an exhibition of paintings by Greek artist Dimitris Petrolekas titled “Thamai.” The opening will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The exhibition will run through November 28, 2026.

As the artist mentions in his introductory note, “Thamai: an adverb used by the ancient Greeks to indicate something that happens frequently or repeatedly. Based on this root, the noun ‘thamonas’ was formed, describing a person who is in the habit of frequently visiting a specific place. A “thamonas” and I in the realm of my personal images, in a constant effort to compose and recompose places, faces, and objects that may no longer exist, and which, in and of themselves, lack the capacity for memory.”
