The Roman Odeon of Patras is reopening its gates to the public as a venue for cultural events, following the completion of the project to highlight, restore, and maintain the site, as well as to landscape the surrounding area and install lighting. The Ministry of Culture is presenting a rich artistic program of musical and theatrical performances at this iconic 2nd-century AD monument, which was returned to the city and restored to its original use in November 2025.

From September 15 to 30, the Roman Odeon, which dominates the city’s historic center, will host eight highly successful productions from the Ministry of Culture and Sports’ “All of Greece, One Culture 2026,” highlighting the restored monument’s potential to serve as a venue for contemporary artistic creation, meeting modern standards.

The program of events, curated by the Greek National Opera with the support of the Achaia Ephorate of Antiquities, marks the first organized artistic activity at the restored site, following its reopening, reaffirming its role as a vibrant cultural venue. The events are offered free of charge by the Ministry of Culture, but advance reservations are required.
