The residency program launched by the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation in 2022 marks its fifth anniversary this year, thus continuing a tradition of hosting artists and researchers that has been in place for decades.

Greek researchers, creators, and professionals in the cultural field who are active at the intersection of art, science, and technology to apply to the program, which will take place from November 1–8, 2026, in Agios Nikolaos, Crete.

The program serves as a platform for collective learning, exchange, and experimentation. It is an intensive week during which, through lectures, workshops, and collaborative research, participants will explore the philosophical, ecological, and social dimensions of AST practice, focusing on the role of media theory, mediation, and interdisciplinary exchanges in care, communication, and collective imagination.

The residency program is open to professionals from a wide range of disciplines, including artists, researchers, scientists, and curators, who approach AST issues in a creative and critical manner through artistic practice, academic research, technological experimentation, or hybrid forms of work.

The program will be conducted in Greek and English, fully covers participation costs, and will host 8–10 participants; it will culminate in a collaborative project to be presented the following year.
