
The Department of Informatics and Telematics at Harokopio University invites prospective graduate students to apply for the Master’s Program for the pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Applied Informatics.
The program offers full-time and part-time study. The total number of places is forty (40). Eligible for admission to the Program are holders of a first-cycle degree from Higher Education Institutions in Greece or from equivalent institutions abroad, in accordance with the provisions of Article 34 of Law 4485/2017, excluding graduates of Departments of Informatics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields.

Supporting Documents: ➔ Copies of degree certificates. Final-year students may apply and be evaluated, but they will be finally admitted only if they obtain their degree before the start of enrollment in the Program. In the case of graduates of universities abroad, the provisions of the applicable legislation shall apply.
➔ Copy of the detailed transcript of all years of undergraduate studies, as well as any postgraduate studies of the applicant, including the degree grade.
➔ Proof of English language proficiency supported by relevant certificates. Proof of level “B2” is required, which may be demonstrated either by a State Language Certificate or by another certificate of equivalent level. Proficiency may also be documented by a certificate of prior study at a recognized English-language educational institution.
➔ Up to two (2) letters of recommendation, including the full name, title, position, address, telephone number, and email address of the author. The letters may be from faculty members of the applicant’s educational institution or from faculty members of other educational institutions familiar with the applicant’s academic training. In the case of applicants with significant professional experience, the letters may come from persons who have supervised them professionally.
➔ Detailed curriculum vitae and a short statement of academic and research interests, including the reasons why the applicant is interested in postgraduate studies in the Department.
➔ Summary of a diploma or thesis paper, if one has been completed or is being prepared by the applicant.
➔ Copies of scientific publications, if any.
➔ Photocopy of both sides of the identity card.
➔ Any additional material that the applicant considers may further support the application.
Selection Criteria:
● The applicant’s overall degree grade. If the applicant has not yet graduated, the grades of the courses successfully completed and the number of such courses.
● Grades in undergraduate courses relevant to the Program, if any.
● Performance in a dissertation/thesis, where provided for at undergraduate level.
● The applicant’s grades in the certificates documenting English language proficiency.
● Any research activity of the applicant, where applicable, evidenced by scientific publications or presentations
● Any work experience of the applicant in positions and fields related to the subject matter of the Program.
● Letters of Recommendation
● Personal interview, if requested by the competent committee of the Program.
Duration of Studies:
● For full-time postgraduate students: a minimum of twelve (12) months. This duration corresponds to two (2) academic semesters, while the dissertation is prepared during the summer months so that studies are completed in September. The maximum duration of study for full-time students is 24 months
● For part-time postgraduate students: a minimum of 24 months and a maximum of 48 months. Correspondingly, for part-time study, courses will take place during the two winter and spring semesters and will be followed by the preparation of the dissertation. In the part-time program, there will be the possibility of assigning the dissertation at the beginning of the spring semester of the second year.
The Postgraduate Program of Specialization requires tuition fees of 3,400 euros for the entire duration of study. Selected candidates, after completing their enrollment, are entitled, after the start of the academic year, to submit an application for exemption from the obligation to pay tuition fees, in accordance with applicable legislation.
