
The National Center for Documentation and Digital Content (EKT) is organizing a webinar titled “Environmental Education today, addressing the climate crisis on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (4:00–6:00 p.m.).
The seminar is primarily aimed at teachers at all levels, education administrators, research associates, and professionals working in the field of environmental education, as well as anyone interested in enhancing their knowledge and tools related to climate literacy.
The aim of the seminar is to explore an educational framework that can address students’ need for climate literacy—a need arising from today’s environmental realities.
Keynote Speakers
Asimina Antonarakou, Professor of Historical Geology and Paleontology, on behalf of the Geological Society.
Athanasios Moyias, Associate Professor of Environmental Education (Democritus University of Thrace), on behalf of the journal Environmental Education for Sustainability.
Nafsika Papavlasopoulou, geologist and museologist, Head of the Education Department at the GAIA Center, will participate in the seminar on behalf of the Goulandris National Museum of Natural History.
The seminar is being organized in collaboration with the following Education Advisors:
- PE02 Trikala
- PE02 Magnesia
- PE04 Cyclades
- PE02 Heraklion
- All Education Advisors of the Dodecanese Regional Directorate of Education
This list will be expanded.
Certificates of attendance will be issued by the Education Advisors for each prefecture/area of responsibility.
The seminar is accessible to all those interested, with preregistration required
to receive the necessary link before the seminar begins.
