Since 2021, the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture (ELIVIP) has been implementing GreekLit, a program that subsidizes translations of all categories of Greek books into other languages. These include scientific, literary, artistic, contemporary, and older works. The aim of the program is to promote Greek publications in international book markets and to spread Greek cultural heritage.

On the occasion of World Greek Language Day (February 9), ELIVIP presented the bilingual edition of 29 Journeys to the Greek Language.

The collective volume includes texts by 29 translators who refer to their relationship with the Greek language, their first encounter with Greek, and their decision to devote themselves to translating it. For most of them, their first encounter with the language took place during their university years. However, they all fell in love with it, studied it, and made it part of their lives.
