The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation was honored with an award from the Academy of Athens during the Festive Session held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Academy’s headquarters. Specifically, the Foundation was awarded a prize by the Third Class of Moral and Social Sciences for its significant and continuous contribution to the fields of culture and education, both in Greece and internationally.

The award was received by the Director of Academic Affairs of the Foundation, Ms. Kali Kyparissi, from the President of the Academy of Athens, Mr. Michalis Tiverios.

For the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, this honorary distinction is a special recognition and seal of approval for its long-standing contribution, at a symbolic moment in time, as it coincides with the completion of its 30th anniversary year of presence and social action. At the same time, it is a source of inspiration and responsibility for the continuation and further strengthening of its work.

On the occasion of the award, the Vice-President of the Foundation, Katerina Laskaridis, said: “Faithful to our vision and values, for 30 years we have been seeking to break new ground and actively reduce inequalities through actions in culture, education, health, shipping, and society as a whole. In a rapidly changing world, we are committed to continuing to invest in people, cultivating knowledge, dialogue, and active participation, with the aim of creating a positive social impact.”
