With the aim of further expanding its international network of collaborations in Latin America and strengthening its extroversion and academic presence on a global level, Aristotle University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Tarapacá in the Republic of Chile on Friday, December 5, 2025.

The Memorandum was signed by the Rector of Aristotle University, Professor Kyriakos Anastasiadis, and the Vice-Rector of the University of Tarapacá, Ms. Jennifer Peralta, in the Senate Hall, in the presence of the Chilean Ambassador to Athens, Mr. Juan Pino.

The Memorandum of Cooperation lays the foundations for the development of inter-university exchanges and the strengthening of scientific cooperation in the fields of teaching and research between the two institutions. In this context, it provides, among other things, for the development of joint research and educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, student exchanges, staff mobility for research purposes, and participation in lectures, conferences, and scientific symposia.

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Development of Aristotle University, Professor Nikolaos Mangioros, while the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Ms. Marietta Ortega, and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ms. Pilar Mazuela, participated from the University of Tarapaca.
