The Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, as part of its research program Third Republic in its Early Years, 1974-1992, is organizing a series of workshops focusing on four thematic areas: constitutional development, political parties and elections, civil society, and foreign policy.

The workshop entitled “Foreign Policy, 1974-1992” will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the event hall of the Hellenic Parliament, 22-24 Amalias Street, entrance from Souri Street.

Contributors include: Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos, professor in the Department of International, European, and Regional Studies at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, general director of the Constantine G. Karamanlis Foundation, Eirini Karamouzi, Associate Professor at the University of Sheffield, Antonis Klapsis, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of the Peloponnese, member of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation, Lykourgos Kourkouvelas, Assistant Professor at the Department of Port Management and Maritime Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Sotiris Rizas, Director of Research at the Center for Research on the History of Modern Hellenism of the Academy of Athens, Ioannis D. Stefanidis, Professor at the Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Ioannis Chalcos, PhD candidate in History at the European University Institute, Head of the Historical Archive at the Constantine G. Karamanlis Foundation, Dionysis Chourchoulis, assistant professor at the Department of History and Digital Humanities at the Ionian University, Kostas Yfantis, professor in the Department of International, European, and Regional Studies at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, chair of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation.

During the workshop, a witness seminar will be held on the topic of “Greek diplomacy through the eyes of those involved,” with the participation of honorary ambassadors Ioannis-Alexios Zepos, Dimitris Karataidis, Dimitrios Nezeritis, and Georgios Savvides.

A certificate of participation will be given to students who attend the workshop.

Admission is free to the public upon presentation of a police ID.
