In collaboration with two departments from two universities: the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Organization Management, Marketing, and Tourism at IHUAcademic Year 2025-26

The aim of the program is to study and research various religious and pilgrimage data mainly in Greece, but also more broadly in the Balkans and Asia Minor, as well as in the Holy Land, as well as the provision and development of tourism skills for those interested in working in the field of religious and pilgrimage tourism or working professionally with it in the public or private sector.
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Eligible: Graduates of all Departments of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Higher Ecclesiastical Academies, and Armed Forces and Security Forces Schools.
Final-year undergraduate students may also apply.
Duration: Three (3) semesters, equivalent to 90 ECTS.
Attendance of postgraduate courses during the first two semesters, and completion of a thesis during the third semester.
Teaching method: Entirely through modern distance learning, with Greek as the language of instruction.
Tuition fees: €2,000. Payment of €200 upon registration and the remaining €1,800 in three (3) equal installments of €600 before the start of each semester.
Strengths of the Program:
- The program awards a master’s degree, the relevance of which is recognized for a wide range of professional fields in the public and private sectors.
- It covers both fields required for specialization in religious and pilgrimage tourism in an interdisciplinary manner:
religious and theological knowledge, provided by the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture, and
its tourism and administrative management, provided by the Department of Organization Management, Marketing, and Tourism. - It studies religious and pilgrimage tourism holistically, including not only theological and tourism knowledge, but also its historical and cultural significance, as well as its environmental and ecological impact.
It keeps abreast of international scientific and technological developments in its field and equips its students with up-to-date specialized knowledge and skills.
At the same time, it promotes scientific research and contributes to the extroversion and dissemination of its results to society.
