On Sunday 2 March, the great celebration of Carnival in Athens reaches its climax and the City of Athens together with the Athens Chamber of Commerce invite young and old to flood the city center to have a blast in a spectacular carnival fiesta.

An amazing show with an impressive parade and lots of music, which will delight the audience, will take place on the afternoon of Sunday (02.03) in the centre of Athens.

Syntagma Square is the starting point of the great carnival procession, which will begin at 17:00, to the sounds of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens. Carnivalists from the group “Forms of Expression”, a group of dancers in traditional customary costumes from the International Dance Council – Athens Section CID UNESCO, a group of Cretan dancers from the Dance School “Terpsis Chorou”, a cheerleader group of the Sports Cultural – Gymnastic Progressive Association of Nafplio “Chorokinisi”, a Chinese dragon, giant musketeers, stilt walkers and the percussion ensemble Bloco Swingueira that will set the rhythm, will cross the surrounding streets (Ermou and Aeolou) spreading fun and joy, to end up in Kotzias Square.

Music, as the climax of the carnival demands, will dominate the city centre. From 12:00 at Syntagma Square, 92.3 Lampsi Radio will broadcast live with Dimitris Sarantos. At the same time, from Kotzia Square, 95,2 Athens Deejay will keep the audience company live with Kostas Zikos.

At 17:00 at Kotzia Square the fun continues with a unique DJ set by 95,2 Athens Deejay with Nikos Zois, while at 19:00 the music baton is passed to the explosive Decibel Band who will take us to a wild party with favorite hits of the pop and rock Greek scene, from the 70s, 80s and 90s to today.
