The Ministry of Culture announces the start of the procedure for the filling of the position of Artistic Director at the National Theatre, following the resignation of the Artistic Director of the National Theatre Mr. Yannis Moschos and in accordance with the institutional framework governing the selection process of the Artistic Director of the National Theatre

This framework provides for a Public Call for Expression of Interest by the Board of Directors of the National Theatre, which was published on Thursday 28/11/2024, marking the start of the procedures.

The public nature and transparency of the procedures ensure equality of judgement, while creating conditions for the emergence of the best choice.

Our central objective is to continue the upward course of the National Theatre, to preserve its prestige and to open it to modern views, perspectives and perceptions.
