A very important – moving event, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion and occupation of tortured Cyprus, took place at the amphitheatre of the sports facilities in Velvento on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 2024 in the framework of the 3rd International Choir Festival. On Sunday, June 30, a meeting-discussion of the concerts was held at the office of the association in the presence of conductors, musicians and representatives of the associations.

The event was co-organized by the Association of Friends of Music ” Velventines Fones”, the Region of Western Macedonia, the Municipality of Velvento and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kozani.

Mrs Rena Mandrali was the coordinator, Mr George Siomos was the narrator, who read the texts of Mr Kostas Siomos with his phenomenal voice.

The Festival, as every year, is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
