On Wednesday 26 March at 20:30, in the special area of the Museum of Traditional Instruments “Thirathen”, music becomes a bridge that connects the past with the present, songs with the musical instruments of the area.

Babis Kakepakis, a graduate of the Patriarchal Higher Ecclesiastical Academy with knowledge of Byzantine and traditional music, this time leaves the steps of dance to lead us on a musical journey. A journey where sounds meet the magic of tradition.

In this concert, he will be accompanied by two excellent musicians, Giorgos Gerontis on the lute and Stelios Nikolidakis on the guitar.

The programme will have two sections: the first will take us on a journey with art and traditional songs that evoke memories and emotions and then Cretan music will take the baton with well-known songs and compositions by the artist himself that will leave their own unique aura. An evening full of sounds that tell stories, in a place that embraces the musical heritage.
