The Acropolis Museum welcomes spring

The Acropolis Museum welcomes its visitors to the summer season with extended opening hours of the exhibition areas from April to October (Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday to Sunday 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-10pm), evenings on the terrace of the restaurant overlooking the illuminated Acropolis every Friday and Saturday until midnight and a new series of presentations on the archaeological excavation.

“Walking in the ancient neighbourhood of the Acropolis Museum”
Guided by the Museum’s archaeologists, visitors have the opportunity to tour the archaeological excavation that, like a huge exhibit, spreads out at the base of the Museum. They can walk through the streets of the ancient neighbourhood, see the houses with their courtyards and wells, enter the heart of the impressive villas with their private baths, explore the workshops with their water tanks, and take a fascinating journey through time and the daily life of the people who lived in the shadow of the Acropolis rock for more than 4,500 years.
