Art group exhibition

The contemporary art gallery BRAGGART, presents at the JOIST Innovation Park an art exhibition of its collaborators, entitled Memory Warehouses, from 2 to 4 June 2022, curated by Valentini Margaritopoulou.

During the three days of activities, the group art exhibition will be presented with paintings, digital art, sculptures, video & sculptural installations, while two different performances and video art works will be presented, which will seek to inspire the emotional connections of visitors on a visual, aural and psychological level, to question the unpredictable encounters and experiences of individuals in everyday and historical contexts. All to help create a repository of memory that includes personal experiences and collective histories.

Memory is a person, a concept, a feeling, an object, a smell, another person. Small and large things that resurface memories without control. Regardless of their differences in starting point, materials, media, and techniques, the visual artists in the exhibition complement each other in their approach. The exhibition constitutes a complex narrative, a shared and, at the same time, individual tour. Sometimes with an emphasis on personal experience, sometimes with a focus on history, sometimes with references to the subconscious, sometimes with symbols, the artists counter oblivion by penetrating the sanctuary of memory.
