Description

The European Erasmus-Mundus Programme on Biomedical Engineering (EMMBIOME) www.emmbiome.eu, is a collaborative initiative offered by three distinguished European universities: University of Kragujevac (Serbia), University of Patras (Greece), and Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi (Romania).

Objectives of the MSc-BME: EMMBIOME pioneers a cutting-edge curriculum in Biomedical Engineering. This interdisciplinary program equips students with the skills needed to address complex health challenges through advanced engineering solutions. Students are expected to spend one semester at each institution. They perform their diploma thesis during the fourth semester at the institution of their choice. For the 15-20 highly ranked applicants a competitive scholarship is foreseen.

Key program features include access to state-of-the-art laboratories, renowned faculty, and a vibrant international community. Through hands-on research projects and a focus on real-world applications, students develop the expertise to drive advancements in Biomedical Engineering. Selection Criteria: Admission to the program is competitive, with the selection of postgraduate students based on criteria including the candidate’s grade in relevant undergraduate courses, thesis grade, research activity, and an interview.

Duration and Language: The duration of the MSc-EMMBIOME studies is four academic semesters, including the time dedicated to the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis. The program, conducted entirely in English, awards multiple degrees on “Biomedical Engineering” from the collaborating institutions.
