Why  study? Program Goals

Promotion of knowledge, development of science, research, and technology, and the provision of a high level of training in the scientific and technological fields of modern Transportation Systems and their Electrification and Management Technologies.

Providing high-level postgraduate studies and consequently providing the appropriate theoretical and practical background that will enable its graduates to:

• pursue a research or academic career in the field of modern Transportation Systems and their Electrification and Management Technologies continuing their studies at the doctoral (Ph.D.) level.
• deal professionally in the field of modern Transportation Systems and their Electrification and Management Technologies, while remaining creative and productive in an environment of rapidly changing technology.

An additional purpose is the diffusion of knowledge and research at the national, European and international level and the establishment of cooperation links of DUTH and NTUA with National and European Educational and Research networks.

Finally, to contribute to the modernization of industry and society through its interaction with productive and other social factors, which will result in the transfer of know-how, the promotion of innovation and the general satisfaction of educational, research, social, productive and developmental needs.

Admission criteria

Candidates must have a good command of English, both written and spoken. An applicant whose mother tongue is not English who must demonstrate a recognized international English test such as TOEFL, Cambridge English Test, IELTS, or other equivalent, or pass an internal English test by Professors of the Democritus University of Thrace and the National Technical University of Athens.

Language

The language of instructions and examinations for all students is English. Native (Greek) students may take instructions in Greek, as part of the course program.
