Description

The Master of Science in Digital Communication and Interaction Environments of the Department of Communication & Media Studies of NKUA announces its admissions cycle for the 2023-2024 academic year for 20 postgraduate students, with a deadline for submitting applications until Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (electronic submission of all documents in a single pdf. file via email).

The MSc in Digital Communication Media and Interaction Environments is staffed by more than 15 teaching faculty members and post-doctoral researchers of the Laboratory of New Technologies in Communication, Education and Media and the Department of Communication and Media Studies of NKUA, while it has already led to 5 educational successions of qualified graduates of the admission year 2018 -19 through 2022-23 and provides high-level postgraduate expertise in the regions

For these areas, within the framework of the Program, options of 6 six-semester courses are proposed from a total of 12 offered, with the aim of interdisciplinary training of professionals and researchers. The scientific experience of the teachers, the high ratio of teachers to students, the modern technological and research infrastructures of the Program and the Department of Communication and Media Studies of NKUA, the organization of specialized laboratory activities and seminars with selected external speakers, as well as the possibility of personalized course selection, guarantee the high quality of studies and the response to the scientific interests of postgraduate students.

University graduates of the Faculties or Departments of Informatics, Computer Science, Digital Technology, Design and Applied Arts, Architecture, Graphic Art, Digital Creation and Fine Arts, Communication, Culture, Journalism and Media, Philosophical, Social, Legal, Political, of Economics, Humanities, Educational Sciences and Health Sciences and related Departments of the country or Departments of recognized cognate institutions abroad, graduates of T.E.I. related academic subject, as well as graduates of other Departments or Schools of Higher Education in the country or Departments of recognized cognate institutions abroad. The selection of the admitted candidates is based on the scoring of the application file and an oral interview. Students who graduate within the application deadline are also eligible to apply, in accordance with the details set out in the invitation.

The duration of study in the Program is 3 academic semesters, for attending courses and preparing a diploma thesis. The courses start in the winter semester and take place on a weekly basis (afternoon meetings), with compulsory attendance and a total work load of 90 ECTS for the entire Program. The languages of instruction are Greek and/or English. The Program includes tuition fees of €650 per semester, with the exemption provisions as described in the applicable Law 4485/2017.
