In the context of celebrating the International Museum Day 2021 with the theme “The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine”, the Museum of Science and Technology organizes the online event “Museum of Science and Technology: with our eyes on the future!“, on Wednesday 19 May 2021 at 19:00 (zoom link: https://upatras-gr.zoom.us/j/98760303627). The event will also be broadcast on Facebook and Youtube.

The event will begin with welcome speeches, and will continue with speeches by Teti Hatzinikolaou, President of the Hellenic National Committee of the International Council of Museums ICOM and Honorary Director of the Ministry of Culture, on “The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine “ and Giannis Garofalakis, Professor at the Department of Engineering  of the University of Patras, on “IT Museum or Museum with IT; Challenges and Opportunities”. Finally, the website of the Museum of Science and Technology will be presented by Christos Georgovassilopoulos, a student at the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Patras and Penny Theologi-Gouti, Architect Engineer, Ethnologist (DEA) and Head of Communications at the MST UoP. The speeches will be followed by a discussion.
