Traditional shipbuilding is a major chapter in the history of Greece. Despite its importance, the preservation and promotion of traditional vessels is still in the works.

Recognizing the importance of traditional shipbuilding and honoring its traditional values, the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation proceeded with the production of a short film and the creation of an original application based on the traditional boat Evangelistria, which belongs to its collection.

The application With a ship called Evaggelistria offers visitors the opportunity to admire the traditional boat in 3D, rotate it and tour its interior, discovering in detail its members. Beyond its educational character, the aim of the application, as well as the short film production, is to awaken the public to another aspect of Greece’s maritime history that deserves the respect of all of us.
