Patras Medicine student team participated in the World Synthetic Biology Competition iGEM 2022 (International Genetically Engineered Machine) held in Paris, 26-28 October 2022. A total of 356 teams from 42 countries and distinguished universities worldwide participated in the competition. The student team Patras_Medicine with its Project “syn-PNOIA – Redefining Lung Cancer Diagnosis” after evaluation by a Jury (5 judges) won the following in the Undergraduate category:

1st Prize in the category “Diagnostics” (Best Diagnostics Project, https://jamboree.igem.org/2022/results/track-awards )

1st Prize for “Best Wiki Award” (Best Wiki Award, https://2022.igem.wiki/patras-medicine/ )
