The Museum of Sciences and Technology of the University of Patras and the Greek Section of the International Council of Museums organize the Online Event / Roundtable titled “University Museums: serving the academic community and society”, on the occasion of the European Academic Heritage Day, on Monday 13/12/2021, at 18.30.

The European Academic Heritage Day has been introduced by the European Network of Academic Heritage Universeum, celebrated every year on 18 November throughout Europe, with events, conferences and free entrance to the museums and collections of universities. The aim is to promote them so that the public may discover their wealth and understand the importance of academic heritage as an ingredient of the European cultural identity.

Peny Theologi-Gouti, head of the Museum of Sciences and Technology of the University of Patras, will be coordinating the roundtable. Participants are Alexandra Bounia, Professor of Museology at the University of the Aegean; Marlen Mouliou, Associate Professor of Museology at the University of Athens; Nikolaos Poulakakis, head of the Museum of Natural History of Crete; Esther Solomon, Associate Professor at the University of Ioannina. Q&A session will follow.
