
On May 19, 2026, a workshop on displacement and migration will be held at the CYENS Center of Excellence. The workshop is held by Dr.Eftychia Mylona , as part of her postdoctoral research, which is supported by the program ONISILOS Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND of University of Cyprus.
Workshop topic
The hybrid international workshop titled “Lives After the Wars (1950s–1970s): Displacements and Materialities in the Eastern Mediterranean” will explore displacement, migration, and the politics of everyday life in societies shaped by war and invasion, with a particular focus on Egypt, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Palestine/Israel. It will examine issues related to property, materiality, and memory, as well as how these are negotiated in post-conflict environments.
