On the occasion of the award of this year’s Nobel Prize in Physics in the field of Quantum Science and Technology, the Department of Physics of the University of Patras is organizing an event on the subject, which is addressed to members of the university community as well as to the general public. The associate professor of the department, Mr. Charis Anastopoulos will give a popular presentation on the subject entitled: (Almost) 100 years of quantum theory: “How the controversy about the nature of reality leads to new technologies”. This will be followed by questions from the audience. The event will take place on Wednesday, November 2, at 18.30, at the AA Auditorium in the Rector’s Office building of the University of Patras.
