A conference entitled “Cinema, Environment and Culture: the green perspective for sustainable local development” will take place on Monday 31 March 2025, 11:00-17:00, at the KEDEA of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The conference takes place within the framework of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme “Tourism and Local Development” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in cooperation with the FILM OFFICE of the Region of Central Macedonia. The event will be welcomed by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Charalambos Fidas.

The event will feature presentations from the perspective of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme in Cinema, Environment and Culture, on green perspectives in the formulation of local tourism development strategies, with the promotion, promotion and protection of the particular characteristics of each region, the integration of the principles of sustainability, the promotion of cultural heritage at local and regional level, the creation of new, innovative tourism products and business activities.
