The Internship Office of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki organizes the review event for the academic years 2016-2023, on the topic “Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Higher Education Internship Program”, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 18.00, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

At the event, students and supervisors of Host Institutions with the best practices for the academic years 2021-2022, as well as academic internship supervisors of Departments that have left the program, will be awarded. In total, 38 students from 39 departments of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 39 supervisors of Host Institutions and four scientific supervisors will be awarded.

The event will be addressed by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Dimitrios Koveos. Afterwards, the founding director, Professor of the Department of Geology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Antonios Koroneos, will present the report on the operation of the programme since 2016.

The University of Thessaloniki Higher Education Internship Programme aims to bring students into contact with potential employment opportunities, to inform them about market trends and the skills required, to improve the competitiveness of graduates, to channel graduates with professional experience into the labour market, and to create a stable link between the University and the student population and the labour market.

The students do internships for a period of 1 to 3 months, depending on the Department, in public and private institutions. The Programme is responsible for the students’ fees and insurance.

The programme is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and co-funded by national resources through the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning” of the Partnership Agreement for the Development Framework 2014-2020.

The event is not open to the public and a registered invitation is required for entry. The event is open to journalists only.
