The Scientific Cooperation Agreement between the Aristotle University and the Agricultural University of Tirana has been renewed for another five years. The agreement was signed by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Dimitrios Koveos, and the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Professor Fatbardh Sallaku, on Monday, October 23, 2023, in the Senate Hall of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The Agreement, which was signed between the two universities for the first time in 1992, provides for the strengthening of academic, educational and research cooperation between the two institutions, as well as the exchange of professors, researchers and scientific collaborators.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Professor Erinda Lika, and from the Aristotle University the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment, Professor Apostolos Apostolidis, the Chairman of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment, Professor Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, the Chairman of the Department of Agriculture, Professor Stefanos Koundouras, and Professor Emeritus of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Elias Voulgaridis.

The Agricultural University of Tirana was founded in 1951. It is a public university with approximately 15,000 students, based in Tirana, Albania.
